My name is Nirm and this is my story

Counselling and therapy in Northamptonshire

Therapy in Staffordshire

I love what I do. It’s almost impossible to describe how much I enjoy helping people towards a happier life.

Part of this comes from meeting and helping dozens of different kinds of people from so many diverse walks of life. Adults, young people and children, professional people, working people, retired people.

As a Northamptonshire therapist, I support them all through numerous issues.

It’s my privilege to witness the positive difference that counselling makes to their lives.

Nirm

How it all began

My counselling experience started in the voluntary sector, where I worked for a National Bereavement charity. I provided one-to-one support to bereaved clients in their homes. This led to a role as a Family Support Volunteer working for a local Hospice. I helped families to support their bereaved children.

During my formal training as a Counsellor, I worked in my local community Counselling Service giving individual counselling to Adults, Children and Young People.

Free initial counselling session

Not every counsellor will be right for you. It’s vital to find one you feel comfortable with, one you feel you can connect with and feel safe. Contact me, and you’ll receive a free initial telephone consultation. We’ll talk through your difficulties. Then you can decide if I’m the counsellor for you. If so, we’ll book our first appointment.

Your first positive step

Choosing to have Counselling isn’t always an easy step but it’s certainly a positive one. Work with me, and you’ll enjoy a warm, welcoming and supportive space, somewhere you can express your feelings openly and freely and gain a deeper insight into your difficulties.

You’ll give your time. In return, I’ll offer you respect, empathy and non-judgemental honesty. Everything we discuss will be confidential, as we work together to explore your reasons for seeking counselling. I aim to help you find better ways to understand yourself, to help you to manage and perhaps make changes in the way you think or behave. In short, we’ll do whatever it takes to enhance your mental and emotional well-being.
